Daniel completed two levels of retreat leadership training through Shalom Mountain in Livingston Manor, NY, including Training in the Art of Loving I-VI and Shalom Retreat Leadership Training I-IV. He brings the Shalom Process to the retreats he leads. The Shalom Process can be described as embodied work, which seamlessly blends the modalities of bioenergetics, parts work, internal family systems (IFS), and psychodrama. This approach allows participants to deepen their self-awareness and explore their emotional, physical, and spiritual connections.
At Shalom Mountain, Daniel learned how to create a safe and transformative space for retreat participants. He is skilled in creating experiential activities that promote healing and integration, while also providing support and guidance throughout the process.
Through his training at Shalom Mountain, Daniel has developed a strong understanding of group dynamics and how to facilitate meaningful conversations among participants. He focuses on creating a sense of community within the retreat setting, allowing for deep connections to be formed between participants.
In addition to his training at Shalom Mountain, Daniel has participated in men's work—specifically with Mankind Project (MKP). Through his involvement with MKP, Daniel has taken on various leadership roles and gained valuable experience in event planning and facilitation.
Daniel has lead in many different capacities. At the MKP-USA level, Daniel served as Co-Leader and then primary Leader for Rainbow Warrior Gathering for three years, which involved coordinating workshops and talent shows and providing oversight and leadership for other tasks such as facility rental, purchasing event insurance, and collecting fees. As a part of Metro New York Tristate MKP, where Daniel served as the Administrator of the Area, he completed the New Warrior Training Adventure (including serving in such roles as Materials Coordinator, Rookie Coordinator, and Outline Coordinator), Primary Integration Training (and has served as co-leader for P.I.T. intensives), and Staff Training I.
Finally, the trainings, which Daniel assisted, ranged in theme from "traditional" tranings to "gateways" to serve the following communities: men recovery, GBTQ+ men, BIPOC men, and Pan-Asian/Middle-Eastern men.
